At the Primary school, the staff were fortunate enough to kick off our school year with a workshop: Investigating Inquiry. This was a two-day workshop that enabled us all to take a deep dive into inquiry: why we foster opportunities for inquiry-based learning, the different types of inquiry, the process of inquiry, how to help students form questions for inquiry and cultivate their curiosity and strategies to help us to put inquiry-based learning into place. The workshop was led by two workshop leaders who prepared a very engaging and interactive course for us. We enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about inquiry, carry out our own inquiries and start our school year with additional inquiry-based learning tools in our ever-expanding toolbox. It has been great to see these tools in use in our primary classrooms already!
