Yesterday, both PYP 7 and the two PYP 6 classes were fortunate to have a guest lesson from Sonia Garcia, a UNICEF volunteer. The lesson focused on raising awareness about children’s rights, particularly emphasizing access to education and the fight against child labour. It also touched upon the rights to clean water, proper nutrition, and healthcare.
Before the autumn holiday, PYP 6 and 7 had already delved into the topic of children’s rights during their Dutch lessons as part of their PYP unit on diversity. The children enthusiastically engaged in today’s lesson, demonstrating their active participation and genuine interest. Well done to all!
