Depending on individual classroom or student needs, teachers will schedule video calls with students. Here are some things to keep in mind for student/teacher conferencing:
-
- We expect students to follow our normal classroom/school rules of behaviour when in communication with teachers or each other
- In video chat, wear appropriate clothing (e.g. no pyjamas)
- Students should be seated at a table in a common space (not on beds)
- Use appropriate school related language (both in chat and video)
- Use other, private platforms for social interaction
- Be mindful of noise. Wear headphones / earbuds if possible
- Students should inform other family members at home that they are on a video call.
- Be ready to share learning and have questions ready
- Be prompt / stick to given meeting times
