For our new art unit, ‘The world through your eyes, ‘ the MYP 3 students went on a field trip to the World Press Photo exhibition in Gouda. This Dutch organisation has already been celebrating press photography since 1955. What started small is a competition with more than 60.000 photos each year to be judged by a professional jury on each continent.
The students picked their three bests to invest further in class and visualise their opinions about the story behind the photo. Besides investigating the world around them, they will learn to work with watercolour skills as their medium for their final artwork. Art is all around us.
