On 9 and 11 May, ISD had the pleasure of welcoming Natali Simmonds in for an author visit during MYP 1, 3, and 5 English classes. Natali is a local author who has written manga, fantasy novels, and her most recent thriller is being adapted for TV. She delivered an engaging presentation that explored the path that led her to writing, the multifaceted life of an author, and aspects of her creative process. Natali even graciously extended her time for an “Ask the Author” session, and many students lined up to pose their writing-related questions to her. It was an enjoyable, enlightening experience for all, and we hope to make this an annual event! |
