The Executive Board of the Stichting Laurentius Onderwijs has appointed Sander Raaphorst to the permanent position of the Head of School International School Delft – Primary. The appointment will commence on 1 April 2020.
The experienced school leader has worked the last 10 months as the interim Head of School for ISD Primary. During this time, Sander Raaphorst has brought stability and shaped the conditions for the further development of the school. Sander will continue to implement the International Baccalaureate program and, together with ISD Secondary, jointly develop the International School Delft into one single, attractive and high-performing international school in the Delft / The Hague region.
Sander Raaphorst started his career as a primary school teacher in Duiven, after which he made the switch to location leader. In the following years, Sander gained extensive leadership experience within several primary schools. For the last two years, Sander worked as an education advisor and interim director within several schools in the Netherlands.
Sander describes himself as a connecter, solutions-oriented and future-oriented. “International School Delft has to become a key player for attractive international education for students aged 4 to 18 years in the region. I am looking forward to leading and guiding the development of the primary school”. Raaphorst is married with two kids and lives in Duiven, Gelderland.
