Students at our school can explore a diverse range of after school activities, with options changing each semester to ensure there’s something for everyone. From Robotics and Lego to Drama, Chinese or Latin language and culture, Philosophy, Cooking, Garden Club, and Eco-club, the opportunities for growth and exploration are endless. These activities allow students to unleash their potential and discover new passions.
At ISD there are a variety of activities for students to join after their lessons. We offer both teacher led clubs and external after school activities. The teacher-led clubs are run by ISD staff and are funded by the school, examples are: The Garden Club, Art and Science, Volleyball club, School Choir, School band, and Games Club.
External clubs are paid for by parents. They include piano or drums lessons or the King production clubs. King Productions offers at our primary school a varied programme that includes i.e. a cooking club, lego club, fitness and games, arts and crafts and cooking club. All clubs run on rotation and are reviewed / changed each term.
As part of its commitment to sustainability, ISD joined the ECO-Schools programme in 2020 and proudly earned the Green Flag in 2022. Both the primary and secondary schools have active ECO Clubs, where students engage in a wide range of projects designed to make a positive impact on the environment. Activities include collecting and recycling materials, participating in beach clean-ups, promoting energy and water conservation, and raising awareness about sustainable practices within the school community. Through these initiatives, students develop a sense of responsibility and learn how small actions can contribute to creating a better world
Through our partnership with Childcare by True Colors, ISD supports families in creating the right balance between career, studies and family life. Childcare by True Colors is an international childcare centre run by Stichting kinderopvang Morgen.
Kinderopvang Morgen offers childcare after school for children 4-11 years, and pre-school daycare for children 0-4 years.
