Diploma Years
(16-19 years)

A Launchpad to University and Beyond

The IB Diploma Programme (DP) at International School Delft is an assessed two-year pre-university programme for students aged 16 to 19. The DP programme is recognized and respected by leading universities across the world.

The IB DP curriculum framework

Through the Diploma Programme (DP) core, students reflect on the nature of knowledge, complete independent research and undertake a project that often involves community service.

This balanced and holistic approach develops students’ academic depth, critical thinking, and a strong sense of personal and social responsibility.

The DP curriculum framework includes six subject groups, complemented by three core elements: Theory of Knowledge (TOK), the Extended Essay (EE), and Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS).

Students take at least three and no more than four subjects at higher level and the others at standard level – in this way, students can explore some subjects in depth and some subjects more broadly over the two-year programme.
