Anti-Bullying Week at ISD primary

By Dianne Crowley
From 11 to 15 November 2024, we celebrated Anti-Bullying Week at primary, a meaningful time for students to engage with the importance of respect, kindness, and diversity in our school community.
Throughout the week, students explored key concepts such as what is bullying? and how to be an upstander. They also shared their ideas and created a school-wide “Choose Respect” Manifesto, which reflects our collective commitment to treating everyone with care.

A highlight of the week was Odd Socks Day on Tuesday, 12 November. Students and staff wore bright, mismatched socks to celebrate the idea that while we are all unique, we are all equally valued. This fun and visual activity reinforced the message that differences should be celebrated and respected.

We hope that the lessons and reflections from Anti-Bullying Week have sparked meaningful conversations at home and will continue to inspire our students to make positive, respectful choices in their daily lives.
